The industrial engineering study program, Faculty of Engineering, the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta at collaboration with the UMS & Carfix vocational school, opened a program of interest in the field of workshop management. This opportunity is open specifically for Industrial Engineering students, Faculty of Engineering, the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, who meet the requirements only for a quota of 20 students.
Advantages:
Place and object of Job Training / Internship at Carfix.
Research object for Final Project at Carfix.
Receive particular workshop Management material (recognized and converted to Elective Courses in the Industrial Engineering curriculum, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta *).
Get knowledge and direct experience On Job Training/internship for three months at a Carfix workshop.
Obtained a certificate of expertise for the head of the Workshop (Workshop Management) from Carfix/UMS Vocational School
Get the opportunity to get a job directly after graduate, as the Head of Workshop or Service Advisor at Carfix (through a special / priority selection stage).
Specific requirements for Industrial Engineering students, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta:
Still active as a Student of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.
Have obtained a minimum of 114 credits in the even semester of 2018/2019.
Doesn’t have a dependent obligation to repeat the Compulsory Industrial Engineering Course at the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta under semester 7 **.
Trying and willing to graduate immediately after taking this program (maximum two semesters).
Willing to place a job as Head of Workshop or Service Advisor at Carfix.
In particular, this program is more appropriate for Industrial Engineering Students, Faculty of Engineering, the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, especially Semester 6 (Class 2016 or earlier), and especially those who have not got a Job Training place or who are interested in a career in Workshop Management.

Operation Workshop (8 days)
Spare parts (2 days)
Customer Retention Activity (4 days)
Kaizen (4 days)
Total 18 days
@ 7 hours/day, and implemented in the Block system.
The material will convert into 4 Elective Subjects for Industrial Engineering Expertise, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.
So that students who take this program are required to take the following courses on the Study Plan Card for odd and even semesters 2019/2020 (in 2 semesters):
Practical Work (2 credits)
Research Proposal (2 credits)
Final Project (4 credits)
Elective Courses 1 (3 credits)
Elective Courses 2 (3 credits)
Elective Courses 3 (3 credits)
Elective Courses 4 (3 credits)
Total of 20 credits
Apart from compulsory courses in semesters 7 and 8
**) Must not have dependents to repeat compulsory courses under semester 7.
That’s because the requirements for graduation from the Bachelor Degree Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta are GPA> = 2.0 and a maximum value of D = <14 credits, and there cannot be a D grade for General Basic Courses (Al Islam, etc.).
